A-scan (Amplitude Scan): Delivers precise measurements of the eyes length and depth, commonly used for calculating the axial length during intraocular lens (IOL) selection, particularly in cataract surgeries.

B-scan (Brightness Scan): Produces a two-dimensional cross-sectional image of the eye and its surrounding structures. It helps visualise the retina, vitreous, optic nerve, and other areas when direct examination is hindered by conditions such as cataracts or dense media opacities.

This device plays a crucial role in diagnosing various ocular conditions, including retinal detachment, tumors, foreign bodies, and more, providing a non-invasive and reliable way to assess eye health.
